JOB TITLE: BPM Offshore development Senior Engineer

REPORTING TO: BPM Team Leader
JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a member of the BPM ODC Engineering team you will have to work in all areas of the iProcess looking at code, across a breadth of technologies and be comfortable in switching technologies and working with a large product set/code base.
A significant part of the role will be ihandling support related problems and being able to reproduce, investigate, locate and fix various problems, as well as learning the product in depth before moving on to new developments.
As part of a newly forming team the candidate should be a good communicator, and team player, as the team will be remote from the other engineering teams, therefore while plenty of support will be available, over time the best support will be from within the team.
The candidate must be confident and prepared to spend time learning new areas/skills quickly and building/sharing that knowledge.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree or equivalent
Strong development background (minimum 5 years). And be a good problem solver, with the following skills:
C/C++ or JAVA
Multi-thread Programming
Understanding of OO principles and design
And one or more of the following:
Unix Programming and building in a Unix environment
Windows Programming and building in a Windows environment
SQL Server, programming using ODBC and understanding SQL, basic setup and configuration of SQL server
Oracle, programming using OCI and understanding SQL, basic setup and configuration of Oracle server
Knowledge of Java environments, JMS, JDBC, J2EE etc
Knowledge of Microsoft COM and .NET
Experience working on diverse and large products and having to understand large areas of those products.
Good communication skills, English essential
Motivated to work in a close team environment and help and support fellow team members.
